Lauren is a contemporary acrylic painter and weaver whose current work centres on the vessel. Her approach to painting is often influenced by the rhythm and repetition of weaving.

Through a layered process of color, shape and pattern, she treats each vessel as a kind of visual sentence- part of an evolving language she continues to explore.

Drawn to the charm of imperfection, she creates quirky, slightly wonky characters rather than polished forms, often pairing them so their personalities play off one another.

An animal lover, Lauren has also been creating custom pet portraits for the past couple of years . She enjoys capturing the personality and spirit of each animal, along with the unique bond they share with their humans. ‘I love the process of watching your pet come to life on the canvas’.

Lauren lives by the ocean in Victoria and enjoys beach walking, yoga, hanging with her two cats and the odd spicy margarita.
